Tourism demands are increasing with increasing globilisation and wildlife tourism, that is common in poorer regions with high biodiversity, may sometimes suffer the consequences due to insufficient resources. To reduce the demand and tackle animal welfare and conservation concerns in tourism we must raise the awareness of tourists and tourist companies.
Footage of the hidden suffering behind animal tourism is released as part of a new campaign to curb abuse. World Animal Protection is calling on tourists to think twice before they take part in wild animal experiences such as elephant rides, 'tiger selfies' and animal boxing. The campaign was launched on Saturday to coincide with World Animal Day
